Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, referred to in Japan as Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, is a spin-off of the Megami Tensei series for the PlayStation 2.
The game is a development from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Despite sharing the same engine, graphics, and assets, huge numbers of the interactivity elements have been changed to adjust to the style of having story applicable just gathering members. Furthermore, Digital Devil Saga brings back demons that were absent from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Outside Japan, the game was released with the Shin Megami Tensei brand, despite it not really being a mainline Shin Megami Tensei game.

After a sudden explosion of light, the tribes begin terrible transformations into that of demons. Soon after, Serph awakens to find a significant number of his enemies eviscerated and a puzzling girl sleeping in the hole left by the blast. Upon her discovery the ruling collection of Junkyard, the Karma Temple, institutes another law: whichever clan brings the girl to them shall be permitted into Nirvana. Simply by devouring the other tribes can the player learn of the mystery surrounding the evil transformations, the girl, and of the land known as Nirvana that will lead everybody to paradise.

Because the player can at this point don’t fuse demons, the Mantra system is used to create characters. Using Atma points gained from devouring enemies, the player invests points into Mantras to gain skills. All characters retain the entirety of the took in skills from Mantras yet they may just prepare a couple to use effectively.
Borrowing intensely on Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, the Press Turn system returns. Most battles are spent in devil structure, however the player may choose to transform once more into the character’s human forms or might be persuasively transformed because of certain attacks.
